A while ago (like 9 months) Endnight had a Q&A and someone asked about bug fixes to the original forest vr but Endnight replied saying they'd focus on "making sons of the forest the best survival game they can." And that they didn't have any plans as of now. Are the devs working on it because I really hope we get something like how they did for the forest.
What we don't know though is if any Sons Of The Forest VR action is in the works, akin to that of the first game, coming in the later years post-launch. Given the success of the original game's VR mode, many fans are wondering if there will be Sons of the Forest VR support as well.
